About the Event
✨Would you like to improve your flexibility, balance and strength without breaking into a sweat?
✨Do you have tightness or tension in your body?
✨Ever feel stressed, anxious or too busy?
✨There is a good chance you will feel calmer and more relaxed by the end of your very first class.
✨Through a focus on gentle, mindful yoga, this class will encourage you to breathe more deeply and improve your flexibility, balance and strength.
✨Most importantly, the physical benefits are just side effects. The essence of yoga is about stilling the mind.
Each week the class includes mindful yoga (physical poses), use of the breath, plus either a mindfulness practice, relaxation or yoga nidra (deeply relaxing yogic sleep).
This class is suitable for beginners and you do not need to be flexible, strong or fit!
As a self-confessed anatomy geek and mental health professional, Carolyn will explain the benefits of poses and practices, teach by breaking things down and give individual modifications so you can work where you are at.
This new weekly class starts on Wednesday 26 September at 11.00 am in the beautifully renovated studio at Crispin Hall in the centre of Street.
Classes are £8 for places booked and paid for in advance (link below). There may be drop-on places available on the day for £10 but this cannot be guaranteed, therefore advanced booking is advised.
A small number of concessionary places at £6 per class are available on a first come first served basis for this class. They are for people who are on a limited income (in receipt of benefits, carers or disability allowances or pension) who would not otherwise be able to attend. More details are on the booking system.
A limited number of mats are available for beginners but please get in touch to request to borrow one for the class if you need one.
